CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT.

You may arrive from 4:00 pm onwards.
On your day of departure, we ask you to leave before 12:00 noon.

PAYMENT.

Upon arrival we are going to invoice the remaining amount of your total cost. Please, settle this via online banking. Any additional costs that may accumulate during your stay we kindle ask you to settle it in cash at the end of your stay. 

GARAGE.

Your vehicle is warm, snug and snow free in our garage. The gate opener is to be found next to the elevator. 

Please note the maximum headroom of 2 meters!

Any higher vehicles can only be parked at a fee in the Anger underground car park in Lech.

The gate closes automatically after a minute. Therefore, we ask you kindly to only operate the control once you a ready to go.

FOR YOUR AND OUR SAFETY.

HYGIENE CONCEPT.

In our opinion privacy is the most valuable privilege. You and your loved ones are our only guests. The hideaway and the sauna are all yours! Freedom and retreat. Only the host family lives in the same house on a different floor. Your and our health is of  the highest priority! Therefore we ask you to follow a few guidelines: regular corona test, minimum distance, vaccination and necessary hygiene standards. The hideaway gets thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Disinfectants are available upon request.

SUN PROTECTION.

The blinds on the southern windows are only for sun protection. They have to stay up in wind and snowfall. They aren’t sturdy enough for high alpine weather conditions. Please keep this in mind. All windows have blackout curtains so no sun ray is going to disturb your sleep.

For bread orders. Weather and snow reports. Information. Table reservations. Music. Or some of you would to enjoy Netflix while other would like to watch TV.

As a service and for your digital comfort. And as a different kind of information folder. Currently, however, it is still a hybrid.

TV.

An overview of all available cable channels are to be found on the iPad and the information folder.

And because the TV doesn’t always have to switched on, it’s disguised as a picture.

Because food is the most comforting thing after a long trip. You are going to find everything and anything you could possibly need in the kitchen cupboards. To grant your survival through the first afternoon, evening and the following morning.

Butter from the dairy, milk, eggs from the neighbour and muesli from the village bakery.

Sustainable, loving prepared and of the finest quality. This is our understanding of a vacation in our hideaway.

If you are in love as much as we are. You may purchase them too. A little taste of your holiday at home. Price lists are in the information folder and on the iPad. Whenever you are ready, we happily take your order.

WINE.

In the wine rack you will find a selection of Austrian wines.
Depending on your mood and preferred colour. Served by your hostess.

SPRING WATER.

Lech spring water from the tap. Sparkling, mild sparkle or natural.

We have a magic tap installed. On the left hand side with the touch of a few buttons you have natural, mild sparkling or sparkling water. The lower button is for sparkling water. It lights up as green. For natural water push the upper button. It lights up blue. For mild sparkling water, touch both buttons successively. It lights up turquoise. Grohe – a little bit fancy.

FRESHLY BAKED PRODUCTS.

Does freshly baked bread tickle your fancy? Martin Walch, Lech’s village baker, delivers bread to the front door step every morning.

Everything is set up on the iPad.

FONDUE.

You will find a chinoises and a cheese fondue set in the kitchen. You can order traditional Bregenzerwald cheese fondue directly with us. Please, allow us a days’ notice.

KITCHEN.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge combination, a dishwasher, a steam cooker and an oven. Caffein infused delights magically appear by a push of a button on the Nespresso machine. The tea is made from dried herbs from our garden.

Is your own stove worth gold? Food cooked by Thorsten Probost a star cook and food magician is going to spoil you rotten. A comprehensive list and information are to be found in the Information folder and on the iPad. Make your selection and send an SMS to your hostess. You will find the culinary highlights in the storage box the next day.

DELIVERY SERVICE.

Many restaurants offer take away and a delivery service.
Arlacarte.at delivers your dinner from the restaurant directly to the doorstep of your hideaway www.arlacarte.at.

GROCERY SHOPS.

Your food shop is too heavy to carry home? Both of our grocery shops in town deliver your heavy shopping bags to the front door of OBERLECH750. They are called Pfefferkorn and Spar.

RESTAURANTS.

A table reservation is more important than ever. If you plan to eat out for dinner, you might want to book your table latest by lunch time.

TAKE TIME OUT. RELAX.

MOUNTAIN SAUNA WITH INFRARED.

After a day on the mountain relaxation and heat is the best. Let the smallest of fibres of your muscles rejuvenate. The sauna is equipped with infrared lights. Through the windows you can watch the snow fall while your body and mind recovers.

Whenever you want! Arrange your sauna times with us in advance or call us. Within an hour the sauna is heated up. The infrared lights can be switched on and off by you.

The sauna is hidden away in our garden. A short walk along the terrace is reviving and the outlook of a hot sauna even more inviting. The snow is going to be cleared on a daily basis in the evenings. Unless you would like a little work out yourself – we have more than enough shovels. With sustainability in mind we ask you kindly to bring your own slippers. However, we also do offer house sleepers made from sheep wool. Be warned, they are not suitable for walking on snow.

The sauna towels are changed on a daily basis. Leave the used ones there.

BATH TOWELS.

Bath towels and cosy bathrobes are provided by the hideaway. Should you want fresh ones, leave the used ones in a basket at the front door of the hideaway.

SHOWER.

The choice is yours. Raindance or classic hand shower. Simply push the ring upwards all the way to the top. Dance (and sing) away in the rain shower.

SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS.

In the bathroom you are going to find two natural cosmetic brands. The local one is called Resa Wants made from herbs that grow on the steep mountain meadows of Lech. Phystine is a local brand from the Bregenzerwald – just a few kilometres away from Lech.

Feel free to take opened bottles home. As a little reminder of your getaway in our little hideaway. A little gift from us to you.

You may certainly purchase both brands with your hostess. They are the perfect little gift for your loved ones at home.

BEAUTY TREATMENTS.

MASSAGE.

YOGA.

You would like to practice Yoga? Upon request, we provide you with a yoga mat.

INDOOR AIR.

In the hideaway you are going to find a vast selection of herbs. We picked them this past summer from our garden and dried them. We use them to cleanse rooms. 

It is a very old tradition that has been passed down for uncountable generations. The smoke of the herbs cleanse the room. It creates space for good energy to return and to flow freely. Select a few herbs, put them on the sieve and light the candle underneath. We urge you to only use it on the stove.

There is a small, but curated selection of essential oils available. A few drops on the diffuser and you may relax even more.

Fill the diffuser up with water add a drop or two of the essential oil. Less is more as these are essential oils of the highest quality – they are intense.

KNIT.

Why not? Knitting calms the mind. Knitwear is to be found in the hideaway. Rummage through colourful yarns and let your creativity go wild – just like back in school.

READ.

You are going to find a carefully curated selection of books and magazines. Curl up in front of the panoramic window. Forget time and space. Loose yourself in a story or in the view over the mountains.

POSTCARDS.

When was the last time you wrote a postcard from your vacation? Potentially in the 80’s from Italy? Surprise your loved once at home!

Postcards and stamps are to be found in the information folder.

Our postcards are also our business cards. Pictures of us. A memory to take home and share.

CABLE CAR OR BUS.

The Oberlech cable car is easily reached within a ten to fifteen minutes’ walk from the door step. The cable car runs on an half hour schedule.

There is also a bus stop 500 hundred meters away from the hideaway. It is free of charge and runs at an hourly schedule.

HIKING TRAILS.

At the front door step of OBERLECH750 the panorama trail starts. Lace up your shoes and explore it. Or should you a few questions, don’t hesitate to ask your hostess.

SKYSPACE.

Within a five minute walk you reach the Skyspace. A walk-in art installation by the famous artist James Turrell. It is a fascinating light flooded space. Where the horizon, the meeting point of heaven and earth, are reinterpreted. It is worth a few visits throughout your stay. Your experiences changes with the change of daylight. SCHOTTENHOF.

The highest highland cattle breeding in Europe is located only a few minutes away. Located by Schlosskopf at almost 1,800 meters. The walk to this ultra-modern stable with its shaggy residents is worthwhile. The owners offer guided tours.

SKI SCHOOL.

Whether private lessons, group lessons, ski tours. Both ski schools in Lech and Oberlech stand for competence and the highest qualified ski instructors and guides. Even your hostess was once a ski instructor. Further information is to be found in the information folder.

SKIING.

The ski slope is located outside the front door. Right next to Chalet N you can put your skis on and return home safely via the slope 210 passed Grubenalpe. Please be aware that the street is no ski slope. Also there might be gravel on there – skis don’t like gravel! Additionally the traffic is difficult to navigate. Therefore please take your skis off right next to Muxelhof.

You may purchase your ski pass at the bottom station of the Petersboden chair lift or at the ski pass offices in the village.

SKI RENTAL.

We have a few favourites when it comes to rental shops. They are competent, provide fantastic service and have outstanding rental gear:

Skibex. Opposite the Oberlech cable car.
Sportalp. At the bottom of the Schlegelkopf chairlift.
Sigis. Located at Hotel Krone.
Sporthaus Strolz. In the heart of the village.

They open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Rent or buy. The choice is yours.

CROSS-COUNTRY.

One of the the most beautiful cross-country and skating tracks leads you into the Zugertal. Rental equipment is available right at the start of the track at the Strolz sport shop underneath Filomena (Spar).

TOBOGGANING.

Are you craving a bit of excitement? The tobogganing run is located at the Oberlech cable car. Bobsleighs are at your disposal in the ski cellar. Please make sure you are wrapped up warmly, wear good shoes and be safe!

TO SMOKE OR NOT TO SMOKE.

It is a non-smoking hideaway.

Smoking is permitted on the terrace and at the entrance to the house. Ashtrays are provided. Please use them. There is also a heater to keep you snug.

QUALITY AND CRAFTMANSHIP.

We value craftmanship very highly. A lot of time and effort was spend to carefully chose, select and decorate this place. Please, be as appreciative, respectful and careful with it as we are.

Everything has been documented and checked upon your arrival. Life happens – things can break. It is not an issue. Tell us and we are sure we can find an arrangements that is going to leave both sides happy. If not you are going to find the full price of the item on your invoice.
